What a great day!

Dear veterinarians and technical veterinary assistants, what a cool job you have – helping animals every day! When you started your career, I’m sure you had this in mind: helping animals, working with animals and providing them with the best possible care. And that's actually what you do every day in your practice. Quite admirable! This perspective can sometimes disappear in everyday life. Let’s recapture it!

We, the founders of Inuvet, decided some dozen years ago that animal health should become "our" topic. Since then, we have been working to create a positive environment for ourselves and our employees and to promote a mindset that makes us healthy and happy. One of our most important findings: More gratitude and a little pride in oneself make everyday life easier.

We have found that a great way to achieve this was by coming with three things in the morning that we are grateful for. Don't worry, these can also be small things: Sometimes it's as simple as the morning coffee that we are particularly grateful for. Throughout the day, and with a bit of practice, you will find more and more things to be grateful for. Because gratitude is a matter of practice. And the good thing is: Anyone can learn to be grateful!

Logically, not every day will be "awesome". You won't get a higher salary or less overtime – these problems are real! But, a positive mindset can make stressful days seem less stressful and ensure that getting up the next morning is a bit easier. So, we wanted to remind you to give yourself a pat on the back.

And by the way, in addition to technical articles, you'll also find mindfulness and soft skills texts on our Inuvet blog, designed specifically to help you in your day-to-day work. Take a look!
