Struvex supports the dissolution and flushing out of struvite crystals in the bladder. The acidification through methionine is supported by the diuretic effect of the nettle extract. The medicinal mushroom Polyporus umbellatus also supports the health of the bladder.
Struvex can be fed directly or mixed into the feed.
Methionine Methionine causes the urine to become acidic. By lowering the pH value to the acidic range, the dissolution of struvite stones can be promoted and their components can be excreted via the urine.
Nettle Extract (Urtica dioica) The nettle has a diuretic effect, which helps reduce inflammation.
Polyporus umbellatus The beneficial mushroom Polyporus umbellatus is recommended for bladder crystals. The mushroom is finely ground using the so-called shell-broken process, which breaks down the cell walls. This optimizes the absorption of the nutrients so that the body can use them better.

What to do if an animal has ingested too much Struvex?
• Contact a veterinarian immediately and mention the active ingredient methionine.

• If the ingestion occurred longer ago, a veterinary visit is still required.

• Unsteady gait or other neurological abnormalities
• Lethargy (listlessness, fatigue)
Possible complications
• Metabolic acidosis (disturbance of the acid-base balance)

Does breed, size, or species matter?
• Basically, no – the above rules apply to all animals.
• Deviations are only possible if the attending veterinarian decides so for individual reasons.
Keep out of reach of animals. Suitable only for adult cats. Do not use during pregnancy, in cases of severe liver and kidney diseases and in the case of obstruction of the urinary tract.
