EnteroGast acute promotes the solidification of the feces and supports the gut function in three phases. Firstly, the astringent properties of the English oak prevents too much fluid from entering the intestine. Secondly, Psyllium husks bind free liquid, thereby solidifying the feces. The final component of EnteroGast acute, the gut bacteria Enterococcus faecium, promotes the build-up of healthy intestinal flora.

Ingredients (excerpt)

  • Enterococcus faecium (cultures de bactéries probiotiques)

Enterococcus faecium cultures help to naturally replenish the intestinal flora. They colonize the intestine and support the regulation of intestinal peristalsis. In addition, the cultures also help to reduce the presence of pathogenic intestinal bacteria in the intestine. They compete with the pathogens for receptors on the intestinal epithelium and change the luminal pH in a way that affects the binding ability of pathogenic intestinal bacteria. This is particularly beneficial in the case of a weakened intestine, where harmful microorganisms can be displaced in favor of the natural intestinal flora.

  • Oak bark (Quercus robur cortex)

Pedunculate oak bark is rich in tanning agents that have an astringent effect, making the intestinal mucosa denser. This leads to less water being released into the gut, helping the intestinal contents to return to its normal, firm form.

  • Grounded Ratanhia root (Krameria lappacea radix)

Similar to oak bark, rhatany roots contain a large amount of tannins (mainly catechols and proanthocyanides).

  • Psyllium (Plantago ovata)

Indian psyllium husk has a strong natural swelling effect: The seed can absorb up to 40 times its own weight in water. Once in contact with water, it forms a protective layer of mucus. This coats the lining of the stomach and esophagus like a film. In the intestine, psyllium husks bind excessive fluid. The feces is thus bound and stays in the intestine for a longer period of time. This ensures that the feces is consolidated and the output of the feces is naturally regulated.
