Any joint can be subjected to signs of wear and tear. In healthy joints, a layer of cartilage covers the bone surface. This protects the bone and allows the joints to function smoothly. A so-called synovial fluid nourishes the cartilage layer. Too much stress or too little movement of the joints leads to a deficiency in the cartilage.

Nourishment for the cartilage

So that your horse's joint functionality can be maintained for as long as possible, we recommend a healthy amount of exercise and the supplementary intake of Hypolene. Hypolene is ideal for horses with severely strained joints.

Ingredients (excerpt)

  • Green Shell Mussel (Gonex quality)

The green-lipped mussel provides all essential building blocks for joint and connective tissue metabolism (synovial fluid, ligaments, tendons and cartilage). It can have a positive influence on inflammation mediators and blood circulation. In this way, the green-lipped mussel ensures that the affected tissue, synovial fluid, cartilage and underlying bone are supplied with the best possible nutrients.

  • Willow bark (Salix alba cortex)

Willow bark contains herbal salicin which is metabolised in horses into salicylic acid. Salicylic acid reduces pain and can support the mobility of horses prone to joint problems.

  • Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica folium)

Stinging nettle has been valued for its health-promoting properties and nutritional value since the beginning of time. It contains high amounts of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Provitamin A, folic acid, enzymes, minerals and iron. Numerous positive characteristics have made it an all-rounder. On horses it is used especially for maintaining healthy musculoskeletal and metabolic systems.

  • Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens)

Devil's claw supports the musculoskeletal system especially in horses prone to progressive deterioration of joint cartilage or other joint problems. As it decreases the number of protein-degrading enzymes, it provides a natural preservation of joint cartilage.
