Artichoke Extract (Cynara scolymus folium) Based on new studies, artichoke leaves are said to have choleretic, cholekinetic, cholesterol- and lipid-lowering as well as hepatostimulating properties.

Reishi Ground (Ganoderma lucidum) The "mushroom of immortality" has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for more than 4,000 years and has become one of the world's most important medicinal mushrooms. It can support the liver by inhibiting lipid accumulation and collagen deposition. In addition, the triterpenes in reishi have been shown to inhibit the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) in humans, which produces angiotensin, which increases blood pressure. It also supports the oxygen enrichment of the blood - the organs can be better supplied with oxygen.

Lecithin Lecithin is converted into choline in the liver. This choline is responsible for removing excess fat from the liver - if it is missing, this can promote fatty liver. Choline can also be converted into betaine, the starting material for S-adenosylmethionine, which is important for detoxification.

Betaine Betaine is one of the starting materials for the formation of methionine in the liver. The amino acid methionine is converted into S-adenosylmethionine through a biochemical reaction, which plays a crucial role in metabolic detoxification processes. Hepax forte can be fed directly or mixed into the feed. Due to the higher levels of vitamins and trace elements compared to complete feed, this dietary supplement may only be fed to horses up to 3.4% of the daily ration (including hay).
